First Footage of Netent’s Neon Staxx Video Slot!

Published on 7 May 2015 by Rhi

Well, I knew it was coming but we were treated to the first footage of Netent’s up and coming video slot release, Neon Staxx, much sooner than I had expected! This first look footage at the new game reveals the look and feel of the reels, the awesome special features and the retro space-age sounds that go along with it.

Retro 80s with Neon Staxx

Firstly, I love it. I think it’s designed so well. The neon colours are super fun and bright, but based on a darker (but still colourful) background meaning the overall effect is really pleasing and not over the top or too much for the eyes. It’s a really retro 80s feel, in both the design and the music so will take many players back to their younger years.

You’ll find animal symbols including the regal eagle, powerful panther and even a fearsome lion, along with the usual letter symbols and gem stones. Extra features such as Free Spins and the super duper SuperStaxx feature really make this game come to life.

SuperStaxx

The SuperStaxx feature is when the reel is stacked entirely with one symbol, increasing the changes of a winning pay line. These stacks can appear on any of the reels at once, the more that appear, the bigger the win. They can even appear on every single reel, so every symbol is identical, guaranteeing a big win for the player.

Free Spins Round

A Free Spins round is triggered when 4 or more scatter symbols appear at once in the main game. Before the Free Spins begin a quick spin determines which stacked symbol will be present during the round, so you can keep your fingers crossed that the chosen symbol stacks during your free rounds.

Neon Staxx from Netent really encapsulates the feel of the raving 80s, the design, the colours and especially the music, which could have been playing in any discotheque from the era. Neon Staxx is due to be released on June 24th, so there is not long to wait until we can try this funky new video slot for ourselves.
