Betfair, according to various sources the world’s largest internet betting exchange, has signed a license agreement with Net Entertainment, as we were informed by the latter today. This means the exciting Netent casino games in the (near) future can also be found on online casino websites operated by UK “Big Fish” Betfair.
The list of (originally) UK based online betting and casino gaming providers that can offer the games as developed and produced by Net Entertainment is getting longer and longer… The last two years the Swedish / Maltese company has already inked game license deals with some of the bigger UK focused and / or based online gaming providing entities, such as William Hill, Bet365, Ladbrokes and Paddy Power. With today’s announced agreement with Betfair Net Entertainment has really “reeled in” the biggest UK iGaming “fish” of them all.
The Betfair Group, founded in 1998, has its “roots” in the sports-, horse track racing- and greyhound racing betting business. Besides these forms of (online) betting nowadays the group also offers online poker, a Live Casino experience, bingo, Exchange games, arcade games and of course many “flash” casino games. Betfair is an extremely versatile and complete online entertainment providing company that offers virtually any online betting or casino gaming possibility any player could ever think off.
As an internationally active betting and online gaming “mogul”, Betfair holds (and operates under) licenses issued by the regulating authorities of various countries, notably Gibraltar, Australia, the UK, Ireland and, of course, Malta. Players at Betfair therefore couldn’t be more comfortable when it comes to “player protection”, “fair play”, “customer care” and casino safety and security in general. This is one of the reasons we can hardly wait to play our favorite Netent casino games on the Betfair website.
By signing the deal with Betfair Net Entertainment has not only (again) consolidated and fortified its position on the UK iGaming market, but potentially also in the US. After all Betfair has obtained a gaming license in New Jersey last year and already has launched (in November 2013) a (preliminary) online casino website. This might be a “window of opportunity” for Net Entertainment to further explore the potentials of the (regulated) US iGaming market.
However, for the time being Netent seems to be mainly focused on the benefits of the deal on a European level as the managing director of Net Entertainment Malta Ltd. Björn Krantz stated:
“We are very excited that Betfair has selected us as a partner and I wish them a warm welcome as a customer. This agreement will further strengthen Netent’s exposure on the UK market but also in other parts of Europe.”
We congratulate Net Entertainment, the Betfair Group and Betfair players all over the world with the deal and we hope we can enjoy the Netent video slots, classic slots, table games, video poker games, Netent scratchcards etc. as soon as possible on the Betfair website too. In that case it’s more than likely we will add Betfair to Netentcasino.com as yet another safe and reliable Netent Casino to play in and profit from.
