One of the highlights every year for everyone who has anything to do with the iGaming business is without a doubt the International Casino Exhibition (ICE) which is held every February in London, in the UK capital’s ExCell Conference center. Of course every year also Net Entertainment occupies a stand at the exhibition of which above a video footage impression.
ICE Totally Gaming totally about…
Although some other yearly re-occurring ‘iGaming business events’ are pretty important happenings too, such as the prestigious EGR Awards ceremonies, the Sigma conference on Malta and the London Affiliate Conference (the Lac, normally coinciding with the ICE event each year) the ICE Totally Gaming (as the gathering is officially called) is considered to be the one that can’t be missed by any ‘player’ in the international casino gaming industry.
As the name of the exhibition already suggests the ICE meeting is completely about gaming (in general) which means not only casinos and directly to actual gaming related entities (such as games and technology developing companies like Netent) participate in the exhibition, but also providers of additional products and services related to gaming such as online payment providing services, regulating and licensing bodies, marketing and financial management providing companies and, as you probably know, even we from Netentcasino.com have sent a delegation over to this year’s ICE in London, to find out firsthand ‘what’s up and upcoming’.
Net Entertainment, as the world’s leading casino gaming innovating company, of course marks its presence every year too, and every year quite significantly as the company uses the exhibition to reveal its ‘flagship product of the year’ to the world, usually a spectacular ‘branded’ video slot, thus developed and produced in cooperation with a third party ‘brand’.
The Netent ICE revelations of recent years
Let’s have a look at those game announcements Net Entertainment has made over the last few years while participating at the ICE:
2011: The ICE of 2011 was used by Net Entertainment to unveil the first ever Netent-Universal Studios collaboration which produced video slot Frankenstein, of course based on the famous Universal horror-flick of 1931, with Boris Karloff performing as ‘The Monster’.
2012: In 2012 Net Entertainment took the ICE opportunity to announce the second cooperation with Universal Studios resulting in the (violently) sensational ‘branded’ video slot Scarface, based on the eponymous gangster movie about the rise and fall of Cuban coke dealer Tony ‘Scarface’ Montana (an epic role of the legendary actor Al Pacino).
2013: On the ICE of 2013 Netent showed its humorous side by announcing yet another ‘branded’ video slot scheduled to be released later that year, this time developed in cooperation with the makers of the ‘animated series for adults’ South Park. The announcement caused quite a stir on the exhibition of that year and the release of Netent video slot South Park: the Slot was therefore highly anticipated.
2014: The 2014 edition of the ICE in London provided the perfect stage for Net Entertainment to present the spectacular branded video slot Aliens, based on the 1986 sci-fi / action / horror movie produced by Hollywood studio 20th Century Fox. Upon release Netent video slot Aliens proved to show players what the exciting future online video slot gaming can (and will) be like.
ICE 2015: Netent video slot Guns N’ Roses upcoming…
This year’s ‘ICE surprise’ by Net Entertainment of course concerned the announcement of video slot Guns N’ Roses which new Netent game again was conceptualized and produced by Net Entertainment in cooperation with Universal, (this time their music division) and Geffen Records and of course is themed by the legendary hard rock band from LA..
In the above footage we only see a little bit (notably a electric guitar signed by Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash) that refers to what probably will become this year’s Netent ‘#1 smash hit video slot release’. So below once again footage of that magical moment when Netent CEO Per Eriksson, he himself having stated to be a ‘hard rocker’ and a fan of ‘the GnR’, unveils the new Netent video slot on the ICE 2015.
