Boxing has its origins in ancient times, in fact, the first depictions of pugilism date from about 5.000 years ago. For a long time it consisted only of banging each other on the head, until one of the two boxers would lay knock-out on the floor. The rules of modern boxing were only established in the second half of the 19-th century, just before the “sport” was banned (prohibited) in the US and the UK.
Only in 1892 the first official World Heavy Weight Championship was held in New Orleans. In the boxing themed casino game developed by Net Entertainment the boxing match seems to have only one rule: a possible knock-out (coin) win from playing video slot Fisticuffs.
The opponents in the early 19th century boxing match of Netent video slot Fisticuffs not only are from different weight classes, they also have their own particular boxing style. The heavyweight only knows the left or right “direct” punch. The lightweight seems to have a more “intelligent” approach and besides being more agile, he focuses mainly on the huge abdomen of his adversary, using series of punches.
Video slot Fisticuffs has 10 fixed bet lines and the special game features consist of the “both-Ways-Wins” function, Wilds, Boxing Wilds with re-spin and Stacked Wilds.
The Both-Ways-Wins function means the winning bet lines can be formed both from the utmost left to the right as well as from the utmost right to the left (with the symbols of course in consecutive order). In that way you actually play with 20 bet lines instead of 10.
The Wilds (both boxers) substitute for all symbols to create winning bet lines, with the heavyweight only appearing on the 3-rd reel and the lightweight only on reel 2 and 4.
The Boxing Wild feature occurs when both boxers appear on the reels after the same spin. The heavyweight is a Straight Wild so when he and his opponent appear on the same row he will give the lightweight a direct punch throwing the latter to the 1st or the 5th reel, changing all symbols on the row (to the left or the right) into Wilds too.
If the lightweight boxer, as a Diagonal Wild, appears on a row (on the 2nd or 4th reel) diagonally to the heavyweight he will punch his opponent after which the symbols above (or below) the heavyweight will change into Wilds too (leaving the play screen with 3 Wilds).
After each Boxing Wild feature the formed Wilds will stick to the reels after which a free re-spin follows, thus giving you another chance on winning bet lines.
The Stacked Wilds (3 Wilds stacked) will only appear on the 1st or the 5th reel and only during the re-spins.
Video slot Fisticuffs is a funny, slap-stick like, Netent casino game that will put a smile on the face of every Netent Casino player. Have a look at the Fisticuff video slot tutorial page to read all the game’s details and play the video slot in the free fun-play version.
