New Jersey is one of the first states in North America to take steps to legalise in-state online gaming and currently has the least restrictive gambling laws in the entire US, which all gaming companies and casino developers are keen to tap into. NetEnt was the first EU based game developer to show interest in this market and they even went on to apply for licensing. At the start of September they were issued a transactional waiver, allowing them to begin working on implementing and to begin offering their games via Borgata to US based players, whilst the licensing process is still on going.
Well now, they are live! Borgata has just gone fully live with a selection of games from NetEnt. Soon to follow will be bwin.party, an integration that is in process as we speak with a live date set to be announced very soon. To begin with there will only be a fairly small selection of the best performing games from NetEnt, with new ones being fed slowly but surely into the market.
We’ve focused on establishing our footprint in North America and our goal was set to be live during the second half of this year. I’m very pleased that we have delivered on our promise, and excited to follow and act on market opportunities going forward.

I am delighted to be live with Borgata online casino in New Jersey, and it marks a fantastic milestone achievement for NetEnt. I am confident that our games will offer Borgata’s player community the very best gaming experience. Through our extensive experience and knowledge within the field of online casino gaming, we will work closely with Borgata and the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement with the aim to responsibly drive the online casino market forward.
