Netent have set themselves up for a super busy 2015 with at least once new game release per month so far, and each release involves building both the desktop and the Netent Touch version, designed for smartphones and tablets. In September they’ll be releasing Hook’s Heroes and so far, all we know about the game is the name. I could be wrong (it happens sometimes) but I’m thinking a Peter Pan/Captain Hook theme with this one, despite Hook being the villain and certainly not a hero.
Brave or Cowardly Hook
There are a huge range of varying depictions of Captain Hook, ranging from murderous brute, to gentlemanly pirate and even to cowardly and childish spoilt brat. Who knows what form he might take in Hook’s Heroes (if indeed, he features at all!) but I can imagine him as the gentlemanly yet fearsome pirate, backed up by his loyal team (and Mr Smee of course!) all the while, constantly in fear of the tick tock from the crocodile who ate both his hand and his pocket watch.
A Fishing Slot?
I tried to think of other things that Hook’s Heroes could relate too and at a wild guess I suppose it could be in some way fishing related, although I’m not sure the fish would consider the hook, or the bait, or the rod a bunch of heroes!
For this one, I really look forward to more details being released. The movie Hook, featuring the late and great Robin Williams is one of my favourite films from childhood and I always remember it fondly and sit and watch from start to finish whenever it comes on the TV.
Hook’s Heroes it set to be released on 23rd September 2015 and will become available in most online Netent casinos, no doubt with Free Spins and promotions all round.
Netent’s 2015 Road Map of Releases
We have already posted about the roadmap for the next few months and even brought you our thoughts on every single announced game!
- In June 2015 comes Neon Staxx, and we’re lucky enough to have already seen the first Neon Staxx footage detailing how the game will look, how it will sound and what extras we can expect!
- In July 2015 we’ll see Netent’s Sparks video slot, which sounds rather firey.
- In August we have Netent’s Dazzle Me video slot.
