NetEnt Scoop Another Award at the Global Gaming Awards 2015

NetEnt Scoop Another Award at the Global Gaming Awards 2015Long-standing readers of Netentcasino may recall that, last year, Net Entertainment Limited scooped the award for “Digital Gaming Innovator of the Year” at the exclusive Global Gaming Awards. Fast forward to this year, and they’re adding to their bevy of Internationally-recognised awards yet again, claiming the top spot in the “Digital Industry Supplier” category.

THE GLOBAL GAMING AWARDS 2015

The ceremony- an extravagant event hosted in the Titian Ballroom at The Venetian in Las Vegas, rewards the best and brightest in the industry- whether they be land- or online-based and, while nominees are selected by a crack-team of industry experts, winners are chosen based upon the voting selections of 50 esteemed judges from across the globe.

There are a total of 12 categories, with everything from “Responsible Business of the Year” and “Casino Product of the Year” to “Land-Based Operator of the Year” awards up for grabs.

This year, the event- which took place on the 28th September, also saw Bet365– who offer the majority of the most popular NetEnt games (including local and pooled jackpots and Netent touch games for mobile), secure the award for “Digital Operator of the Year”. A mainstay in the industry since 2000 (yes, it really has been that long!) offering everything from casino games to online poker, bingo and sports betting, the bookmaker is accessed online all across the globe- with the site available in 16 different languages! Award-worthy indeed.

NETENT SCOOPS MAJOR INDUSTRY AWARD

Other nominees in the “Digital Industry Supplier of 2015” category included companies such as Microgaming, NYX and Openbet and, while Playtech took second place, NetEnt pipped them to the post for the top spot.

This, the latest in NetEnt’s burgeoning awards collection, will come as little surprise to fans of the innovative games developer. Having created over 20 games this year alone- with (we think!)¬†future classics such as Neon Staxx and Spinata Grande among them, and a further dozen made for mobile casino, they undoubtedly meet the awards criteria for creating consistently “entertaining and engaging online games”.

AND SO TO 2016…

We’re expecting details of the names and release dates for the NetEnt 2016 releases any day now and, as always, you’ll be the among first to know. But, based on the offerings this year, we have no doubt they’ll be spectacular- so roll on 2016. Let’s just hope there’s a little room left on the mantelpiece over at NetEnt headquarters…
