Watch Episode 3 of NetEnt’s The Challenge Here

Published on 16 May 2017 by Adam

Last Monday saw NetEnt take their innovation to a whole new level with the release of their reality-TV style web series The Challenge. Rather than purely push videos and content that focusses on entertainment, the games designer has taken a different approach by highlighting what it’s like to be a part of NetEnt. Demonstrating their outstanding ability to together, 4 lucky (or unlucky, depending on your stance) employees have been chosen to climb a European Alps mountain with the help of the 900-strong team from around the world.

Let’s see how Averil, Tomas, Alice and Dhiraj fair in The Challenge’s third episode, entitled “The Climbing Guide”!

The Challenge Team Take to the Rocks as Part of Their Preparation

Before they all go clambering off to said mountain, the team need to hone their climbing skills. Not everyone has ever done this kind of activity before, so what better way to practice than a spot of rock climbing. None of the participants were especially confident to begin with, but they were in good hands with a dedicated instructor.

I’m nervous that I’m going to mess up, and you’re going to have it on camera! – Averil

However, the team managed to complete both the ascent and descent with minimal fuss (a huge mental breakthrough), while also bonding particularly well considering that they come from different areas of the company. Overall, each individual passed with flying colours, although bigger challenges are on the horizon.

Yulia of NetEnt’s Kiev Office Explains How Yoga Helps Her Unwind

As a People and Organisation Coordinator, Yulia, of NetEnt’s office in the Ukrainian capital, is extremely busy and often interacts with many people throughout her day. Being part of recruitment, on-boarding, development and many other HR-related tasks, she’s a critical cog in NetEnt Kiev’s machinery.

There is one thing I can compare NetEnt with, and for me it’s a family – Yulia

However, no one is exempt from a rest, and Yulia takes us through her hour-and-a-half yoga sessions which allow her to take a break from the fast-paced environment. She stresses that allowing her mind time of its own is very important, as she reverts back to any problems with a fresh mindset upon completion.

NetEnt Employ a Full-Time Health Coach for Employees

It goes without saying that companies should endeavour to provide a positive working environment, but NetEnt really do go above and beyond when it comes to employee satisfaction. They’ve hired a full-time health coach to promote wellness, with none other than acclaimed football star Frida Ostberg filling the position.

I come from a background where it’s really crucial that every piece of the puzzle comes from the people – Frida

Many NetEnt workers expressed their happiness with how the company separates work and personal stresses, ensuring that a huge cloud does not form between the two. Furthermore, there’s lots of flexibility when it comes to families, as parents are afforded additional benefits to accommodate for the difficulties of raising children.

With Frida in her role, NetEnt say sick leave has dropped significantly. This allows the company to focus on creating only the very best casino entertainment.

Tune in next Monday (22nd) at Netent Casino to see what’s in store for episode 4 of The Challenge!
