Jacks or Better Video Poker Game Tutorial

Jacks or Better is played with 1 hand. Jacks or Better follows the conventional poker rules, which means that only 1 deck of cards is used and the cards are shuffled before each hand.
This game uses the standard poker hands:

  • Two Pair
  • Three of a Kind: three cards with the same value (K, K, K for example)
  • Straight: 5 consecutive cards from different suits
  • Flush: 5 cards from the same suit (5 clubs for example)
  • Full House: 3 cards of the same value and two cards of the same value (5, 5, 5 and K, K for example)
  • Four of a Kind: 4 cards with the same value (9, 9, 9, 9)
  • Straight Flush: 5 consecutive cards from the same suit
  • Royal Straight Flush: A, K, Q, J, 10 from the same suit.

In Jacks or Better also an extra hand is possible, namely Jacks or Better: a pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings, or Aces. The pay table can be found directly on screen, so immediately know which winnings you can earn. After getting a winning combination, you can choose to collect your winnings or to go on to the bonus game.

After every hand you get the possibility to double your winnings. You do this by clicking the GAMBLE button after a win. You will go to a bonus game where you can choose to pick the right color (red or black) or the right suit of the card that can be seen at the center of the screen. If you want to pick the color, click on red or black on the left side of the card. If you want to pick the suit, you can click one of the 4 suit symbols to the right of the card. When you have made your choice the card will be turned over. When you guessed right, you can try it again; you can keep doubling as long as you win. If you want to stop the bonus game and collect your winnings, you can click the COLLECT button and you will be brought back to the main screen. Keep in mind that for every new card a new deck of cards is used.
