Therese Hillman stepped down from her position of NetEnt CEO in March 2021, but she hasn’t disappeared from the industry. Named one of iGaming Business’ Most Influential Women of the Year in 2019, Hillman has a wealth of iGaming knowledge and experience. One company that hopes to leverage that experience is Better Collective. The organisation’s nomination committee recently announced its intention to nominate Therese Hillman to serve on its board.
With 16 years in the industry and 12 offices worldwide, Better Collective has an in-depth understanding of iGaming. The company’s mission is to make gambling and sports betting transparent and entertaining. They believe that transparency, in particular, is a vital component of iGaming success and so are committed to offering their clients clear and honest information and an objective perspective to rationally weigh the potential advantages of placing a bet.
In addition to protecting players, Better Collective is also committed to protecting the environment. Sustainability and responsibility have been critical aspects of their mission since the company’s founding in 2004. They ensure their offices incorporate Sustainable Development Goals and the U.N. Global Compact and seek to infuse those values into their corporate culture. They offer several sustainability programmes such as “Better for Bettors” and “Better Community”. The former focuses on empowering iGamers via the sustainable development of society, while the latter seeks to build stronger, more sustainable communities for people and the environment.
From responsible gaming to fighting gambling addiction, Better Collective seeks to improve iGaming enthusiasts’ lives and society at large.
Jens Bager, Better Collective’s chairman, believes that Hillman has the experience to benefit the company’s goals for 2021 and beyond:
“Therese will, among other things, support the company in its ambitious strategy to continue consolidating the market and growing in new markets such as the fast growing U.S. sports betting market.”
The potential nomination will be discussed on the 26th of April at Better Collective’s affiliate’s annual general meeting.
