Live casino can be a tricky industry to master. The competition is fierce and the player base somewhat unpredictable. However, one company has come out on top and offers some of the best live titles on the market. Since its launch in 2006, Evolution has climbed inexorably to the top of the industry with its exciting, high-quality games. That trend is set to continue with the developer’s upcoming game Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt.
Evolution’s live casino success soars amid upcoming releases
Evolution recently released its 2021 Q1 numbers, and the results are impressive. The company’s operating revenue saw a 105% boost along with earnings before interest (EBITDA) that soared by 150%. This translates into €235.8 million in operating revenue and €160.1 million in EBITDA, corresponding to a 67.9% margin. The figures highlight Evolution’s success in maintaining its 2020 momentum in terms of profitability and market reach, with the developer reporting record growth.
The company’s upcoming release, Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt, is sure to maintain the progress, with fans already interested to see what the popular character will show in the upcoming title. Players will tag along on an exciting hunt for riches with the titular character in Evolution’s upcoming slot-inspired gameshow. This latest entry into the fan favourite series features elements that experienced players will quickly master as well as an interesting premise. Despite playing the game live, users will all experience slightly different adventures depending upon their choices in-game.
Martin Carlesund, Evolution’s CEO, looks forward to the game’s release, stating that: “This summer will see the release of the first product coming out of the cross-functional collaboration between the live and the RNG product development teams, Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt. This product will combine a popular IP with the best from the live and the RNG worlds.”
The CEO also commented about the current state of the company, noting the record growth and attributing part of it to the 2020 acquisition of NetEnt, a merger Carlesund cited as “successful”. He looks forward to Evolution’s upcoming releases. In addition to Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt, the company is revamping its slots offering in 2021 and plans to launch “new takes” on some popular Red Tiger and NetEnt games before all is said and done.
We look forward to what the rest of 2021 will bring!
