Prepare to topples some coconuts and shoot some plastic ducks, because NetEnt’s newest slot, Theme Park: Tickets to Fortune, is on the way – and it looks like it’s gonna be a cracker! Although there’s a bit of a wait before the release date, those creative bods at NetEnt have done what they always do, by releasing a sneak preview video to whet our appetite. We’ve included the ‘trailer’ in its entirety so take a peek and get a feel for the game, which is clearly jam packed with fantastic features. Let’s run through some of them now so we can all start to get excited.
Firstly, a confession. When NetEnt first announced that a slot called Theme Park: Tickets to Fortune was in the pipeline as part of the 2016 Q2 roadmap, we did our best to second guess the exact nature of the game’s subject matter. Well, despite our best speculative musing, we got this one completely wrong. We assumed there would be rollercoasters whizzing around and dodgem bonus games, but now we have seen the game in action it’s clear that NetEnt have concentrated their efforts towards classic old-school fairground games rather than spectacular rides – and it looks all the better for it.
All this means that you can expect to see coconut shies, strength tests, shooting games and more as NetEnt quite literally bring all the fun of the fair to your screen. It certainly promises to be an action packed game full of the sort of innovative features that have taken NetEnt to the top of the gaming tree. As ever it looks great graphically, featuring a bright colour scheme consistent with its theme, 5 reels, 3 rows and no fewer than 50 pay lines. It’s all accompanied by a fairground style soundtrack to really immerse you in the experience.
Creativity is the name of the game at NetEnt and we’re used to seeing lots of unique features when new game releases come along. Theme Park: Tickets to Fortune is certainly no different. In fact, the team seem to have gone above and beyond this time around, with a glut of fantastic bonus elements, all of which are completely in-keeping with the slot’s subject matter.
Let’s kick off with one of those unique Theme Park features – the claw. This is clearly inspired by the ‘prize grab’ games you see at the fair – you know, the ones where you have to manoeuvre a mechanical claw over a pile of prizes and then lower it to try and grab one. When a claw symbol appears on the reels during a normal spin on Theme Park: Tickets to Fortune, it expands and then reaches off screen to grab a prize that is immediately converted into coins.
Wild symbols appear in the form of rollercoaster carts, which stack together to fill entire reels. Given that there are 50 pay lines, you can imagine that the stacked wilds can really help you bag some huge wins, especially if you manage to score two or three in a single spin.
Hit three golden ticket scatter symbols and you’ll trigger the wheel of fortune bonus round. Once you enter into this feature, you can spin the wheel to secure yourself some tickets that can be used on one or more of six fantastic bonus games. These are your tickets to fortune!
From first glance, it looks like the star feature of the casino is the choice of 6 bonus games, all of which are based on a different fairground game. Use the tickets you won on the wheel of fortune to play Duck Shoot, Hook-a-Fish, a Sledge Hammer Strength test game, Skee Ball, a Punch Bag Boxing game or a classic round of ‘topple the cans’. There are multipliers attached to some of the games and loads of coins to be won as you play them. The bonus rounds are among the most exciting we have ever seen on a NetEnt game.
You don’t have too long to wait before you can play Theme Park: Tickets to Fortune. It is scheduled for release on June 22nd and judging by the first footage, we really can’t wait! We’ll keep you bang up to date with any future news and free spins offers ahead of launch date. And don’t forget that Football: Champions Cup launches even sooner – that one’s due on May 23rd.
