First Thoughts on my First Play of Netent’s New Jackpot: Cosmic Fortune
Published on by Adam
I was lucky enough to get a sneaky little play on the new Netent jackpot video slot Cosmic Fortune today, before it’s official release on Monday 24th. This game is the one to replace the recently removed 8 local jackpot slots and I must say, it does more than fill that void. It’s definitely going to become a firm favourite with all jackpot lovers and all slot lovers in general.
The graphics and theme are really out of this world. It’s cosmically based so you can expect lots of space age images; planets, aliens, space craft and what have you. It’s the first slot machine available to have a huge 5 different jackpot levels- two of which are set amounts (Rapid: €100 and Mini: €500) and three of which are ‘local’ meaning anyone playing Cosmic Fortune on that casino is feeding the amount so they go up the more you play and will vary from casino to casino. They’re called Midi, Major and Mega with Mega being the biggest.
Then, it has an awesome ‘Respin’ feature, which we do see occasionally in Netent slots and is one of my favourite basic features. Firstly, the balls drop into place, rather than the traditional spin. Then, if you get a win line, the symbols glow golden and explode, leaving holes in their place. Then, the reels kind of ‘respin’ where new symbols fall into the empty holes, but at no cost to the player. So, each time you get a win line you get a free respin, and if you win again with the new symbols, it happens again and keeps going as you keep winning!
Another great feature is the Free Falls round, basically a round of Free Spins. I won 10 Free Falls and the reels spin of their own accord. From this game it’s possible to get into the Jackpot game, which is really why we’re all here, right?
This jackpot game is the pachinko style game we spoke about in our last Details about Cosmic Fortune post. The little spaceman drops silver pinball type balls into space and they fall through the maze where they can end up being captured by certain ‘amounts’ (which goes on to your win total) or in the Bonus box, from where the jackpots can be won.
In all, after just 15 minutes of play, I had a blast with this slot. The win percentage was high (96.9%), the game was incredibly fun; I loved the respins every time I had a winning line, and the pachinko jackpot game was really exciting and although it’s all randomly generated, the game came up a few times, adding interest.
Comic Fortune launches officially on Monday 24th November, so I’m sure you can expect plenty of Free Spins on the game on many Netent casinos, to give you a free taster!
