We have some good news for our mobile and tablet users, as of now, Apple users will have reason to celebrate. As those affected in March surely remember, the regulatory body of Sweden stopped users from accessing the site via mobile devices.
On the 4th of March 2015, several mobile applications from the top casino brands operating in the Swedish market were removed. This was a precaution taken out of lack of knowledge from the Swedish regulatory body – Lotteriinspektionen. According to several media reports made back in March, there were concerns from the regulatory body which lead to complaints being sent from aforementioned regulatory body directly to Apple, who responded by temporarily removing the gaming applications while inspections were underway.
Among those hit by this decision were major names such as William Hill, Betfair and Unibet. Resulting in Apple deleting all apps related to these sites for precautionary reasons.
Now, to the good news! As of now, all players residing in Sweden can once again enjoy their favourite games just like before. This is thanks to interventions from Sweden’s main operator association – Branschföreningen för Onlinespel (BOS). We can only speculate so far as no comment has been made from Lotteriinspektionen regarding their complaint. However, as per the action taken today we can safely assume that their concerns were not merited.
So that means that all your favourite Netent titles are once again available on the app store, letting you enjoy your game of choice provided by your casino of choice on your platform of choice. Wonderful!
