License To Thrill: NetEnt Preparing To Release Games In Pennsylvania

Published on by James

NetEnt is gearing up to launch its games in the American state of Pennsylvania after being granted a license by the state’s gaming control board (PGCB).

The casino game provider announced hours ago that it had received an Interactive Gaming Manufacturer Conditional License by the board and it was ready to start launching games through several gambling operators in the Pennsylvanian market.

In October 2017, Pennsylvania approved a bill that allows online casino gambling – opening the door for casinos and game developers to start operating in the new regulated market.

Pennsylvania is the second largest US state to regulate online casino and, with almost 13 million people, is the fifth largest state by population.

It has a long tradition of land-based casino gambling.

NetEnt has already signed customer agreements with several gambling operators in the state and is preparing to launch its games as soon as the market opens.

American players have been told told to watch this space as a formal market opening date has not yet been announced by the PGCB.

Erick Nyman, managin director of NetEnt Americas LLC, said: “We are very pleased to be in the first round of approved vendors to conduct online gaming in Pennsylvania.

“This fits well with our strategy to be live with our products at the first day of market opening.”
