Published on by Adam
Starting with MIGS17, the keynote speaker present will be Jonas Kjellberg, co-creator of SkYPE. He will be present at both the main event and an invite-only CEO event, which will be announced shortly.
Jonas Kjellberg has an achievements’ record that goes beyond only being the co-founder of SKYPE. He is a lecturer specialising in entrepreneurship and winning sales culture at Standford University and Stockholm School of Economics. He also co-authored the book Gear Up alongside other professors from Harvard and Standford. The goal, Ms. Sue Schneider, CEO of Egaming Brokerage, says is to provide the audience with a fresh perspective by someone well-established in the field of entrepreneurship and technological development.
Building on Last Year’s Success
Last year’s MIGS proved a success as it hosted over 400 delegates during its two-day event. Some of the major speakers included Joseph Cuschieri – Executive Chairman of Malta Gaming Authority, Michael Caselli of iGaming Business, Martin Dreymann of Ebettle, Warwish Bartlett from GBGC, and Sue Schneider of Igaming Brokerage. The keynote speech was given by John Andrews, Contributing Editor at The Economist.
This year’s MIGS will adopt central themes such as ‘Navigating Uncharted Waters’, especially with the recent occurrences of Brexit, tax changes, anti-money laundering movements, and changing markets. Besides imparting practical information, the event is meant to serve as a networking event.
Moving onto iGaming iDol, last year’s event proved a great success with recognition and rewarding of employees for excellent performance in their respective fields. The show included a panel of pro judges and over 250 participants.
This year’s edition is opening up on an international level and more prize categories will be added to the list. This includes Casino Product, Poker Product, Sports Product, VIP Manager, Affiliate Manager, SEO/SEM, Tech, Compliance and Regulated Markets, Recruiter, HR Manager, Graphic Design/UX/UI/BI, Payments/Fraud/Risk, Live Casino Dealer, Customer Support, as well as the Outstanding Achievement Award.
Organisers Behind It All
Ms Schneider has taken the organisational reins once again to ensure the best content possible for MIGS17, and she will be working alongside Ambassador Events. Ambassador Events were already signed up to put together last year’s iGaming iDol.
Mr. Jeff Buttigieg, one of the event directors, states that the organisers’ wish is that MIGS delivers useful knowledge to participants to help them take lucrative directions in their business. On the other hand, iGaming iDol’s main goal will be to increase awareness about employer brand and industry culture by rewarding the people running the scene behind the curtains. Both events will target both local and foreign markets.
MIGS17 and iGaming iDol awards Gala are scheduled back to back over two days between 26th and 28th September.
