Monte Carlo Casino offline… soon oldest brand new Netent Casino again?

Published on 15 November 2014 by Sebas

Monte Carlo casino soon also online Netent Casino againMaybe some of you already have noticed… Monte Carlo Casino currently is offline… Does this mean one of the oldest ‘brands’ in casino gaming history is finally really… ‘history’? Nope, luckily for us Netent fans this is not the case at all…

Monte Carlo ‘oldest’ Netent Casino?

Nope…  not… negative… not true…

The oldest Netent Casino is definitely Cherry Casino, originally a Swedish land-based casino gaming operator of which the history is sufficiently intertwined with the history of Net Entertainment, as well as with that of Betsson. Netent once derived from what’s nowadays the company Cherry AB (from which also Betsson was formed) to subsequently become an independent online casino games developing company and subsequently… win yet again a prestigious iGaming business award, this time for “Digital Gaming Innovation of the Year 2014” (last September on the Global Gaming Awards in Las Vegas). Cherry Casino and Betsson were the first online providers of Netent games.

So why is Monte Carlo Casino still considered (one of) the ‘oldest’ Netent Casinos?

Because Monte Carlo Casino of course is the online version of the world famous ‘brick-and-mortar’ casino in Monte Carlo, Monaco that was established in 1863. That’s why the Netent Casino uses the caption ‘Depuis 1863’ which means ‘Since 1863’ thus referring to the date of establishment of the ‘real’ gaming house in the southern French Principality of Monaco.

Although nowadays merely the name ‘Monte Carlo’ is already enough to trigger thoughts of luxury, glamour, sophistication, jet-set, wealth, beautiful people, joy, happiness, danger, excitement et cetera, and even as Monte Carlo (maybe only after Las Vegas) is the first place that comes to mind when asked  to name a location known for casino gaming, there are other Netent Casinos that equally can rely on years of experience in providing real-life (non-virtual) casino gaming services…

Other ‘old’ Netent Casinos

What to think, for example, about a Netent Casinos like PAF, that has more than 40 years of experience in land-based (and off-shore, cruise-ship) gaming behind it. Or institutions like the Danish Tivoli Casino that has a history dating all the way back to 1843. Or England based / originated Netent games providers such as Ladbrokes (founded in 1886) and William Hill (established in 1934) that don’t need any introducing for themselves as being UK’s most renowned bookmakers, having a longstanding background in horse- and greyhound race betting, both of course pure land-based activities.[

But why is online Monte Carlo Casino currently offline?

The online version of Monte Carlo is offline because the casino is currently undergoing a makeover and therefore temporary has suspended all activity on its website. But don’t worry, all your winnings from playing the many Netent casino games at Monte Carlo Casino are still on your account …

And when will online Monte Carlo Casino be online again?

Monte Carlo Casino will re-launch on the 24-th of November, from which date on registered players can access their casino account again and recommence exploring the available collection of Netent games. Only starting from the 1-st of January 2015 the casino will accept new players again.
