Back in November 2014, Netent announced their dedication to reaching a 50/50 male/female divide in their player base and internally amongst their staff by 2020. A bold statement, but one that is a long time coming in the gaming world. Women are
just as capable in the professional casino world and they have proven to be incredibly valuable as players as well. Netent are the first online casino related company to come out and declare their dedication to an equal gender divide.
Netent are constantly not only pushing boundaries, but smashing right through them. Per Eriksson goes on to explain how they have seen better results and a more dynamic workforce in their existing 50/50 departments and would like to continue this trend by attending conferences and such as to actively pursue available female talent. Continuing to explain that he would like to see the 50/50 strategy stretch across the globe and for all international global NetEnt offices to have a balanced dynamic of men and women. Katja tells us that the most important parts of the 50/50 strategy are; to ensure a balanced workforce that benefits innovation, that people get a long better in a mixed workforce. We have researched and compared ourselves to other companies within our industry, where we are doing very well comparatively. But, our goal is of course to be exactly 50/50, for which we still have a long way to go.
