As of this morning, NetEnt went out with an announcement where they presented a recent agreement made with the two American casino providers – Borgata & bwin.party. This will be NetEnt’s first ever step into the American marketplace.
NetEnt casino games will be available for American players once the license application is processed and accepted by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. It is difficult to determine how long it will take for the NJDGE to come to a decision, although we can say with certainty that online gamers in New Jersey can soon enjoy an array of NetEnt titles.
Björn Krantz, who is the managing director of NetEnt Americas LLC, comments: “We are very excited and proud that Borgata and bwin.party have selected NetEnt for the delivery of premium multichannel desktop and mobile games in New Jersey. I am confident that we will be able to support Borgata and bwin.party in their ambitions to provide the very best experience to their players. Subject to approval from the Division of Gaming Enforcement, all parties are now collaborating closely to secure a successful integration and preparation for a commercial launch.”
It is easy to see why the American market would want to implement NetEnt games, the overwhelming popularity in Europe gives NetEnt a strong portfolio that is hard for other game providers to compete with. We predict that this is just the beginning of NetEnt’s expansion into the American marketplace, once NetEnt casino games have more recognition among American players the demand will increase and a lucrative opportunity for NetEnt will reveal itself.
