When you’re a legend, you can’t help but be at the centre of attention. This is why we were totally not surprised that NetEnt’s massive Guns n’ Roses slot has made it to the shortlist of the prestigious eGR Operator Awards!
The eGR Awards is one of the biggest dates in the iGaming calendar, bringing together the best and brightest in this cutting-edge industry that never sits still.
This year’s edition is the 12th one, with hundreds of industry professional from all over the world descending on London on the 28th November to recognize excellence and success.
One highly anticipated award is the Game of the Year, with top-shelf game developers competing for this prestigious title. The winner is chosen by industry workers themselves, who get to pick which of the 13 nominated titles they think should take home the trophy. It’s a tight race, with the best game producers fighting for the top prize.
Our favourite game provider has been included in the shortlist this year, with the Guns n’ Roses video slot in the running to win!
Guns n Roses was the first in the NetEnt Rocks! Trilogy, released in January this year. While all three titles in this series were extremely well received by players, Guns n Roses, being the first, really set the tone and raised the bar for the two slots that followed – Jimi Hendrix and Motorhead. Players will agree that this series was one of those most memorable and enjoyable collections NetEnt has released.
2016 has been a landmark year for NetEnt. This is the year it celebrates its 20th anniversary – no mean feat in an industry that quickly sorts the wheat from the chaff, leaving those less able to stay competitive by the wayside in record time.
NetEnt also released a number of highly anticipated and then extremely well received titles, including the NetEnt Rocks! Trilogy, When Pigs Fly, Secrets of Atlantis, Fairytale Legends: Red Riding Hood and others. And of course, it’s still November – there are plenty of other games, as announced in the Q4 Roadmap, waiting in the wings to make 2016 a memorable year indeed!
