We’ve had plenty of NetEnt surprises of late – not least LeoVegas’ exclusive new Swipe and Roll slot – but they’re never done spoiling us. This almost slipped through the cracks undetected, but we’re delighted to confirm a May 2018 NetEnt game – Lost Relics. A great start to your weekend, online casino!
The reason for our delay in reporting this news is because it was only recently added to NetEnt’s roadmap. The original schedule for April, May and June showed a bare month for the middle entrant, with no new 2018 NetEnt slots pencilled in.
Thankfully, it was all a well-designed ruse.
A quick Google search of “Lost Relics” sent us in the direction of a rather popular online role-playing game, the Elder Scrolls. This, initially, sent our imagination into overdrive, only for us to be brought back down to Earth fairly sharpish thanks to no mention of branding or licenses.
Despite an official Elder Scrolls slot being pretty much off the table, it certainly could prove to be the main inspiration behind Lost Relics.
If not, the name unquestionably suggests a quest for old treasures. Whether this is another dive into mythical elements remains to be seen, but we’re confident it’ll prove to be a cracker whatever the angle.
Wild symbols to appear on the reels? Almost certainly.
A Lost Relic Free Spins Round? Probably.
A brand-new Lost Relic feature? We wouldn’t bet against it!
If 2018 for NetEnt has been about anything so far, it’s surely new slot features.
Asgardian Stones’ Colossal Crush and Hotline’s Bonus Bet have both been unleashed into iGaming within the first three months of the year. Who, really, would bet against the world’s best casino games studio from continuing that trend in May?
Of course, the way a slot machine is put together could well be considered a revolutionary element too. It used to be a near dead cert that an original NetEnt concept would contain 5-reels and 3-rows, but that’s not been the case of late.
The Lost Relics casino game could well house a completely different structure, similar to how Finn and the Swirly Spin and Archangels: Salvation were designed.
Whatever NetEnt have planned for our next batch of entertainment, we’ll know a lot more very soon…
That’s because a May release should warrant a trailer to be soon found on NetEnt’s YouTube channel. Once this Lost Relics preview is uploaded, we’ll make sure to detail every last bit with another addition to our NetEnt slots video reviews.
Around a week before release, we’ll go on our own pursuit to find the best free spins on Lost Relics.
Until then, there’s plenty of top online casinos to sample if you’re looking for a new platform before Lost Relics arrives on 24th May.
