We’ve been going Netent Touch crazy recently, giving you reviews of each and every mobile optimised Netent video slot and now we’re pleased to inform you that Netent have announced a new Touch edition: Jack and the Beanstalk.
When Netent first started developing games, mobile gaming wasn’t really a ‘thing’ so they created their games for desktop computers and laptops and that was it. But over time, as our mobile and tablet devices became more capable and more essential, it was clear that gaming would soon have to catch up. With Netent games, it’s not as simple as just offering the same game on all devices- in order for it to work properly on smartphones and tablets, the whole game needed to be remade.
But Netent are happy to do the work, in order to stay on top of the game and so Netent Touch was born. They began creating mobile optimised versions of plenty of their games. They’re going through their portfolio and adding Netent Touch versions of all their most popular slots, whilst new releases are including both the desktop and Touch versions at once.
Jack and the Beanstalk
Jack and the Beanstalk is actually one of my favourite Netent video slots so far. The game begins with a short film (which can be skipped) explaining the premise of the game. Most of you will remember the tale of Jack and the Beanstalk from your childhood and the game holds true to the old story as Jack climbs the beanstalk into the realm of the giants.
This is a 3D video slot from Netent with incredible graphics. Their clear, colourful and seem to pop right out of the screen and immerse you in the story. It’s a 5-reel, 20-line video slot that you’re sure to love.
Jack and the Beanstalk Features
Jack and the Beanstalk on Touch will have all the same features as the desktop version- Free Spins, Walking Wilds and the Treasure Collection.
3 or more scatter symbols displaying across the reels will activate 10 free spins for players to play through. You can even reactivate free spins within the free rounds- 3 more scatter symbols will activate a further 5 free spins.
Free spins on Jack and the Beanstalk are played at the same stake- same bet level and coin value- as the spin that activated them and any free spin wins from a wild symbol pays at a x3 multiplier!
Walking Wilds are a super cool type of wild symbol which can move, walk and grow. Whenever a wild symbol appears on the reels, a re-spin is awarded, whereby the reels spin again but for ‘free’. As the reels re-spin the wild symbol moves one reel to the left in order to increase the chances of winning. The walking wild disappears once it hits the left most reel, but continues to re-spin until it goes.
The Walking Wild can appear in the main game and the free spin rounds alike, meaning more chances to win than ever. When activated within free spins, the re-spins don’t affect your free rounds, which continue once the Walking Wild has completed.
A treasure collection is a way to activate amazing new wilds, which have a bigger and bigger value in order to increase wins. During the free spins, a key symbol appearing on reel 5 will unlock various wild features;
- 2 Stacked Money Bags- collect 3 keys and the next wild will be a stacked wild of 2 money bag symbols.
- 3 Stacked Golden Hens- collect 6 keys and the next wild will be a stacked wild of 3 golden hens.
- Expanding Golden Harps- collect 9 keys and the next wild will be a golden harp expanding wild. This expanding wild will cover the entire reel and can shift for a bigger wins. Once you’ve collected 9 key symbols and there are no more expanding wilds on the reels, you’ll be returned to the main game.
Creating a Netent Touch version of Jack and the Beanstalk is a great move and we can’t wait to review it once it’s available across all Netent Touch casinos, meanwhile, why not try your hand playing Jack and the Beanstalk for free?
