In what seems to be a growing trend, several online casinos are signing deals with famous sports stars or with entire teams. This is even more the case for these igaming providers who also offer sportsbook. Such collaborations can come in several different colours and shapes. We’ve just received wind of two sizeable deals being sealed, one between Royal Panda and Queens Park Rangers, and another between LeoVegas and Norwich City. Let’s take a closer look at what each one of these collaborations entails:
Royal Panda will be seeing their logo embroidered on QPR jerseys come the beginning of 2017/8 season for 3 years to follow as Royal Panda has signed a deal making them the principal partner of the team. 3 years after Royal Panda debut in Malta in 2014, this online gaming provider has decided to extend its services into the field of sports betting as it will be launching its own sportsbook shortly.
QPR have commented on this collaboration, saying that this will not only be limited to simply a brand awareness through wearing the company’s logo. The two will work hand in hand to craft exciting exclusive promotions and half-time pitch activities.
Mar Podd, CEO at Royal Panda, expressed his delight on behalf of his company in striking this deal with a high-level club. He believes that this will firmly boost his brand’s name as QPR has a rich history and tradition, especially since Royal Panda is new to the sports betting market.
On the other hand, QPR’s Commercial Director, Euan Inglis, also expressed the team’s delight in having Royal Panda’s logo on their jerseys. He believes that considering how huge Royal Panda is as a online casino provider, acquiring a sportsbook license will only add to the success of the brand’s name.
LeoVegas is also in for some football action with a new 3-year sponsorship deal with Norwich City. This deal will start next month as the famed online casino will become the club’s main sponsor.
Interestingly, the company’s ambassador is comedian Johnny Vegas, who has ties with Leicester Tigers and Brentford Football Club.
The Managing Director for Norwich City, Steve Stone, said that this partnership will prove fruitful to the club over the next 3 seasons and that it will help boost the club positively. The club has already had a solid performance this summer, and with the help of LeoVegas, more income will be generated into Norwich City. He added that the club is looking forward to working with LeoVegas during the next 3 seasons.
