NetEnt has disabled its groundbreaking new game Street Fighter II: The World Warrior Slot following reports that players were manipulating the mechanics against the developer’s designs.
Casinos who host the iGaming giant’s games reportedly received messages warning them that the game, released on 21st May, would be disabled and a fix was currently being integrated to remedy an issue that was impacting the “intended gameplay experience”.
It’s unclear what mechanic of the game was being abused, as there are many different ways to play this rather complex and interesting new NetEnt game but the issue was reportedly due to “player staking behaviour”.
The slot plays out in beat em’ up battles and, depending on which fighter you choose to play with, will have different active effects on the reels that change your chances of winning. Some characters offer low volatility and a higher chance of smaller wins, whereas others are targeted towards players who want high volatility and bigger wins.
NetEnt is expected to reactivate Street Fighter 2 soon, so please check back for further updates.
