It’s that time of the year now where we find out what’s next for Netent on their game front. The next game to get excited about is Stickers but what after that? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with the details of 4 new releases and their dates. We don’t yet have the full details of each game, so keep an eye out on our news section as we’ll be sure to let you know the second we hear anything.
Netent originally created all of their games for desktop, as that’s how people played. But since the explosion of smartphones and tablet devices, they knew they had to optimise and fast. It’s not as simple as displaying the desktop game on a mobile, it just wont work well, so they had to rebuild all their games in a new, Netent Touch, version, perfectly optimised for the smaller, portable devices. At the time they went through and made their most popular games in a Touch version, but these days they release new games on both desktop and mobile with a Netent Touch version at the same time, so each launch requires twice the work to get each version ready in time.
We don’t yet have the detailed specifics of these up and coming games so I can’t tell you how it’ll look or what features it’ll include. I can speculate though and with a name like ‘Neon Staxx’ I think we can safely expect two things: super bright colours and Stacked Wilds! A Stacked Wild is one that covers more than one symbol, sitting vertically on the reels, expanding the chances of winning each time it appears. Wild Symbols work to complete any winning lines sitting in their path.
The name ‘Sparks’ conjures up a lot of different images for me: shooting stars, fireworks, sparkling gems, love and romance, but which will it be based on? As of yet, we can’t say, but I’m rather hoping for the fireworks theory. I love nothing more than a stunning display of fireworks, exploding with colour in the sky. They have such a magical feel, it’d make me incredibly happy to see a video slot from Netent based on this wonder.
I don’t know about you but I’m sensing a definite theme in this 3rd of the year; neon, sparks, dazzle… they’re all bright, light and colourful. Seems to me that this is going to be a super summer filled with sunshine, blue skies and plenty of fun on the reels in the form of new Netent games doused in gems and sparkles! Dazzle Me is surely going to be filled with diamonds and gems to take your breath away.
I’ll be honest with you, this one has me puzzled. ‘Hook’ is making me think of the fearsome and unforgiving Captain Hook from the well known Peter Pan story. But the reason I’m puzzled is that Captain James Hook was undoubtedly the bad guy, and could not be placed in the same breath as ‘heroes’. The Hook vs Pan rivalry began when Hook captured Wendy Darling (who was very dear to Peter Pan). Pan went on to defeat Hook and rescue Wendy, in the scuffle, cutting off Hooks hand (which was replaced with a metal hook, hence the name!) and feeding it to a nearby crocodile, who spent the rest of his days with a special taste for Hook. I rather fancy this slot may tell this story from Hooks side of things and perhaps change our preconceptions about this feisty pirate!
