You’re probably thinking that a game about butterflies can’t be any good. After all, how are butterflies even that exciting? Well, NetEnt are here to prove you wrong. Their newest game is all about butterflies, and it has some of the most exciting features yet!
We’re really looking forward to the August 26th release date for this game, so in the meantime we thought we’d give you a sneak-peak preview into what the game is about! Read below for more.
Butterfly Staxx 2 is set to be the newest 5-reel, 4-row, and 40 fixed bet line video slot from NetEnt. The game follows on from its precursor, Butterfly Staxxx, sharing many features in common, but also expanding and building upon it.
The theme of the game is, as you might expect, flapping and fluttering butterflies. This theme is reflected in the symbols, music, and backdrop. Half of the symbols are either golden butterflies or flowers (giving you high value wins), and half of the symbols are your classic face-card letters (giving you lower value wins). The backdrops vary the most in the game, as there’s a different one for nearly all of the features. These range from gorgeous meadows to idyllic walled gardens. The music is a relaxing chime-based composition, until you win big – then it turns into a marvellous celebratory roar!
Betting on this gorgeous game is simple, you have ten different bet levels (1 – 10) and 9 different coin values (0.01 – 5). The bet level determined the number of coins you place on each of the bet line, and the coin value determines the value of each of those. This gives you a minim bet of 0.25, and a maximum bet of 1250 – imagine winning big once you’d placed that wager!
Butterfly Staxx’s main virtue is all of the awesome features its packed full of, particularly its opening up of three play areas during the re-spins and Butterfly spins rounds.
When you get a full stack of butterfly symbols covering a whole reel, then the re-spins round goes live. During the re-spins round two additional play areas get unlocked, turning your 40 bet lines into 120! Three times the bets, three times the fun!
This round is activated when scatter symbols land on reels 1, 3 or 5. This will allow you to then make a choice: move on to play butterfly spins or play butterfly frenzy.
The choice is yours!
If you choose butterfly spins, then you’re in for a treat. You can spin with all three play arenas open and get five extra butterfly spins awarded to you.
The butterfly frenzy is the other choice, and this round really is something to behold! What you have to do in this round is catch butterflies to earn coins. This round is a pick and click bonus game, where you pick out butterflies from the swarm in order to move between the five stages of the game. Each of the five stages gives you ten picks, and the value of each pick is cumulatively added to the overall win value.
Those of you who are strapped for time, or who don’t want to pick, can set this feature to run automatically. This will force the game to pick five round of ten butterflies for you.
If you like the sound of Butterfly Staxx 2 and you want to play the game for yourself, then you’re going to have to wait until the 26th August release day. When that day comes, we’ll be the first to let you know – below you can find all the casinos that will be featuring Butterfly Staxx 2, and many of them have brilliant butterfly bonuses!
