Video slot Aliens is coming, so we start speculating by observing
Published on by Adam
Every time Net Entertainment shows us a preview of an upcoming new video slot we closely watch the provided footage (as a matter of fact numerous times) to both satisfy our curiosity and to try to discover what the new game will be like.
Needless to say we did so with video slot Aliens too and even extra studiously, as this new game (of which the video slot release is set on the 24-th of April 2014) promises to be nothing we’ve ever seen coming from Net Entertainment Productions before.
As soon as the video impression of video slot Aliens reached the offices of the Netent Online Casino Guide its editors almost immediately started frantically debating about what to expect when the slot is finally released coming April. Below our first findings and let it be noted we’re merely speculating by observing, while bets are closed on who has best foreseen the real gameplay, special game features and overall design of the game.
First of all in the trailer we see original footage of the 1986 sci-fi / action movie Aliens on which video slot Aliens is based. The question is if this kind of footage makes part of the gameplay of the game too, or only concerns the game’s introduction “screen”. It could for example very well be during the gameplay scenes from the movie are depicted by high quality 3D animations and graphics, while the introduction screen shows original scenes from the movie.
In the trailer we subsequently actually see some gameplay and from that we came to the following conclusions:
- Video slot Aliens has 5 reels with 3 rows and 15 (either fixed or adjustable) bet or win lines;
- The video slot seems to have some sort of a bonus game;
- This bonus game seems to be interactive and the goal seems to be to kill the attacking Alien by shooting at it;
- It seems the player has various weapons or types of ammunition available to kill the Alien;
- It seems the bonus game holds several “levels” or “meters” (the question remains of what?) and multipliers.
We more or less all agree video slot Aliens looks like a hybrid game between a video slot and a first-person shooter video game and we also agree the game must be spectacular and defying (again) the boundaries of what online casino gaming can be like.
Of course we can’t wait to play video slot Aliens for real after its release on the 24-th of April and until that day we can still enjoy ourselves by playing space or alien themed Netent games like video slot Space Wars or video slot South Park (with its “out of this world” humor).
