They’re one of the most popular casino games designers around, but NetEnt have truly shown their innovation by launching a brand-new online TV series entitled The Challenge. It revolves around four NetEnt employees climbing a huge mountain in the European Alps, while using the knowledge, expertise and support of their 900-strong team from across 7 locations around the world. It really is NetEnt at their best – constantly pushing the boat out to be as unique and creative as possible. Let’s take you through what to expect from The Challenge!
With reality TV shows being huge hits in all corners of the globe, NetEnt have decided to use that angle to promote what it is like to work at the company. The Swedish software provider has been pushing the NetEnt image for a few months now, and The Challenge is thought to be the jewel in the crown for this project.
The open and authentic behind-the-scenes look at the progressive tech company will provide the gaming industry and beyond the chance to learn more about NetEnt and its culture.
As for the actual expedition itself, four members of their team will be chosen to climb one of the tallest mountains within the European Alps. While it is only this quartet who will actual embark upon the mammoth task, the whole team have each been contributing in their own way for the past 3 months to ensure that it goes as smoothly as possible.
Rather than have their employees dread those opening-week Monday mornings, NetEnt have been actively pushing their Better Mondays concept which looks to instil enthusiasm and positivity. The Challenge will highlight how the company as a whole overcomes great challenges together, with CEO Per Eriksson particularly excited by the coming weeks.

The great news? NetEnt’s The Challenge began today, with our readers treated to the first two episodes below to whet their appetite.
The first episode of NetEnt’s The Challenge looks to introduce two of the mountaineering team to us, Averil and Tomas, but with one sneaky twist. Neither of them are actually aware that they’ve been chosen, while they’re also forced to navigate a particularly tricky situation within their day-to-day work-life which demonstrates their suitability for the task ahead.
Furthermore, we hear from Marketing Manager Trevor and his trusty companion Elliot on what it’s like to be part of the NetEnt team. Take a look at the debut episode of The Challenge below.
Up next is The Film Director, whereby the final two participants, Dhiraj and Alice, are chosen in front of the cameras. Again, they’re put in a tight spot using hired actors to test their mental resolve, but both passing with flying colours to setup the beginning of their climb.
Sandwiched in between was NetEnt’s declaration that they’re aiming to achieve a 50/50 gender split in their workforce by 2020.
